Privacy Policy

This policy describes how iaLocale processes your personal data when you use the site (the "Site"). We collect only the data strictly necessary: no profiling, no tracking, no data sold to third parties. The content of the Site, including this page, is generated with artificial intelligence and reviewed by the editorial team.

Data controller

The data controller is iaLocale. For any privacy question, write to us at info@ialocale.ch.

What data we collect

We collect only the data strictly necessary to provide the services you request. We do not collect data from minors and we do not use data for advertising or profiling.

1. Newsletter subscription

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we store: your email address, your preferred language, a one-way hash (SHA-256) of the IP address (anti-abuse measure and proof of consent), and a consent note. The raw IP is never stored. Legal basis: your consent (double opt-in: the newsletter only starts after you confirm the email link; the link expires after 48 hours). You can unsubscribe in one click via the link in every email or the preferences page, or by writing to info@ialocale.ch; the data is removed within a few days.

2. Account (optional)

If you create an account, we store: your email address, your display name, and a hashed copy of your password. The data is managed by the authentication service (Supabase/GoTrue) on our server. Legal basis: performance of the service contract.

3. Traffic analytics

We do not use tracking cookies, pixels, or third-party advertising. The traffic analytics platform (Plausible, self-hosted) is designed to keep no personal data: no cookies, truncated IP address, no cross-referencing of identifiers. Currently, no analytics tool is active on the Site.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use only the strictly necessary cookies to keep your login session when you are authenticated. We do not use non-essential cookies. Some preferences (for example the light/dark theme) are stored in your browser (localStorage) and never sent to our servers.

5. Security

Data always travels over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as hashes. The consent IP address is stored only as a one-way hash. Database access is restricted to authorized staff.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to request its rectification or erasure, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a readable format (portability). You can withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise your rights, write to us at info@ialocale.ch: we will respond within 30 days.

7. Data retention

Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe; account data until the account is deleted. The data is not used for other purposes.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when the services or the legal requirements change. The date at the top of the page indicates the latest revision.
